Sept. 26, 2019 - Students Zeeshan Kahn and James Meli, along with alumni Emmanuel Daramola and Billi Meli, recently released their mobile application, aimed at connecting students through campus events. With more than 350 downloads so far, they are excited about the possibilities the app provides.

Sept. 20, 2019 -- The Wichita State University Library Special Collection and University Archives has received a large gift of scientific documents and artifacts from accomplished meteorologist Mike Smith.

Sept. 19, 2019 - William Flynn, assistant professor of guitar at Wichita State, recently won the Excellence in Creative Activity Award, which recognizes faculty members who have established an exemplary record of creative activity that has brought recognition to the university.

Sept. 17, 2019 - Brian Hargrove leads Visit Wichita's efforts to bring sports events to the city as executive director of sports development. Hargrove, a 1998 Wichita State graduate, works with the university on events such as NCAA basketball and The Basketball Tournament.

Sept. 10, 2019 -- Shocker Nation is full of amazing people. One of those people is WSU Police Officer Efrain Rueda, who has received a University Police ribbon for two outstanding actions.

Sept 4, 2019 - Sarah Coffman graduated from Wichita State in 2010 with an Integrated Marketing Communications degree. After college, she had every intention to work for an ad agency. But life took her on a different journey.

Aug. 29, 2019 -- Aliyah Funschelle is a junior studying sport management at Wichita State University. She is the campus representative for the American Athletic Conference and provides stories about WSU student-athletes to the network.

Aug. 28, 2019 -- Wichita State student Sarah Myose had the winning entry in a competition to paint a mural on the Clinton Hall stairs. Their inspiration came from their time teaching children to paint dandelions.

Aug. 27, 2019 - Boats & Bikes, located in the River Vista Apartments, will have its grand opening from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30. Boats & Bikes, operated by Shocker Rowing, rents boats, paddle boards and bikes for customers to use on the Arkansas River.

Aug. 21, 2019 - As you begin another year of school, you need to remember what is most important. Food. Good food. For vegans like myself, it can be difficult to find good food, especially in Wichita. Luckily, as more and more people turn to veganism, more and more places offer vegan options. Here is a handy guide for being vegan while at WSU.

Aug. 20, 2019 -- The first hotel on the Wichita State campus is beginning construction. A 106-room Hyatt Place hotel will break ground next week on Wichita State’s Innovation Campus, within walking distance of the new Fuzzy’s Tacos, the Shocker Store and Starbucks.

Aug. 7, 2019 -- The Wichita State University campus will soon be home to a larger-than-life sculpture of its beloved WuShock mascot, thanks to Steve Clark – a longtime Greater Wichita YMCA board member, volunteer and donor – for whom the area’s tenth YMCA branch location will be named.

July 30, 2019 - On June 23, Wichita State welcomed 40 high school students from across the country for Envision’s week-long Level Up conference. Envision, an organization that promotes advocacy and independence for individuals who are blind or visually impaired, has held its annual high school conference at Wichita State for the past several years.

July 24, 2019 -- It’s easy to take the free t-shirts, halftime performances and musical chairs on the Charles Koch Arena basketball court for granted. But, during every Shocker Athletics game, a team of student marketing and game operations interns follows a carefully choreographed plan to make sure fans have a good time in between each play.

July 18, 2019 -- Five place-making projects, ranging from the Clinton Hall steps to the Ablah Library to hammocks, are underway throughout Wichita State's campus. Their goal is give people reasons to explore Wichita State and linger in their favorite spots.
